Seedling Update

Himalayan Blue Poppy seedlings below. This is NOT an April Fools Joke - I swear they are growing!
Tomato's above started from seeds weeks ago - they look sickly. Somebody call the tomato doctor!

Tomato's below look great and were started much later. If you know how to save these sickly tomatoes, please tell me right away so I can get to savin. If they are perfectly fine and I'm worrying for nothing then tell me that too, so I can quit stressin.

The last 2 photos are purely for cuteness. I just love the lupine seedling in the one below.

This last seeding is Lady's Mantle. I love the way each leaf looks like a cartoon tulip

  1. Gina... did you thin out your tomato seedlings so there is just one per container? You should do that by simply cutting off all but the best seedling in each pot. Cutting off the seedlings you aren't keeping keeps you from disturbing the roots of the ones you are keeping.

I also have some lupine seedlings, they are cute.

  3. Well, first of all I've never seen a lady's mantle seedling, and second you are absolutely right: Tulip! How funny. I've been following your patio plans, so I can't wait to see how it all turns out. Good luck!

  4. I actually had 5 little blue poppy's started, that is, until the two year old got to them. Oh good lands, but I might still have three. All your plants look SO good.

j - thanks for stopping by. this is my first time seeing lady's mantle seedlings too. i just think they are adorable. And, so far they've been easy to grow.

christine - thanks! i think lots of my tomato seedlings look pretty darn sickly but I'm going to try carols advice.

louis - thanks for stopping by! i know all about anticipating starting seeds. i started some beans and squash indoors way too early and had to throw them in the composter.
