My Skinny Garden Goes On Tour: San Francisco

Does anybody have directions to this garden?

When I got out of my car this morning I let out one of those I've-just-been-hit-by-the-bastard-freezing-chicago-wind-and-I-clearly-don't-have-on-the-proper-coat screams. It's days like this that I question why I ever left the south and even though I've lived here for almost 7 years, I still don't know how to dress myself properly for the Chicago Weather. And to top it off, I park on the roof of the garage every day (to keep from losing it) which is where the cold wind is at its absolute highest level of bastard-ness. I pulled out what I thought was a hat from my coat pocket - it turned out to be a stupid Bulls towel from the game. "I can't wait to get the hell outta here!"

Tomorrow I'm headed for San Francisco. I'm planning to see some sites and meet my dear friend's new baby girl for the first time. I'll be working on Monday and Tuesday but it just so happens that the San Francisco Flower and Garden show starts on Wednesday and guess who's goin????? I can't wait! It'll be my first ever garden show and I hope I see some really cool stuff. When I get back to Chicago, GB and I will probably catch the Chicago Flower and Garden show. I can't wait for that, too!

Does anybody know a good seedling babysitter? I'm afraid to leave them!

  1. I wonder what the weather is like in San Francisco this time of year? I went there once in May and it was FREEZING!

I wonder if you can bring some plants back with you on the airplane?

  2. I can pretty much guarantee there will be no snow! And right now it looks like no rain in the near future. Have a wonderful time!

  3. I know what you mean about leaving your seedling babies...it's hard. No one really takes care of them like I do. :-)
