If you follow me on twitter you know that switching my website to its own .com is something I've been thinking about for a couple of years. With my blogs 4th birthday on the horizon and some exciting new garden writing projects coming up this summer, I thought it was the perfect time to take that step. While I was at it, I also decided to get a proper logo and do some redesign on my new site. There will likely be some additional tweaks until it looks like I want it to. I've also updated my blog's facebook page with the new logo.
In conjunction with my little makeover project, I'm planning to finally attempt to explain the name of my blog so stay tuned. In the meantime I have two questions for you...
- How do you like the yellow background?
- What do you think my blog name means?

ReplyDeleteAlways wondered about the name. My guess is that you garden in a small strip of land..side yard or front gel strip type space. Dying to hear real answer
I imagine that when you started your blog, your garden had nothing in it, hence the name.
ReplyDeleteI imagine you got your name because you had a bunch of lame thingys of unknown origin growing in your yard when you moved into your house. Sparse. Patchy. Skinny. They inspired you, though, and led you down a remarkable, life-changing (garden) path you never could have imagined. But that garden ain't skinny no more, no sir.
ReplyDeleteI think I remember you saying something about the garden being long and thin, but maybe I'm hallucinating that. Could it be a reference to growing produce for a healthy diet?
