Crocus, Is That You?

Look what I found!

  1. Looks like you found either a tulip or a daffodil! Crocus are a little thinner and more green. It is good to know that I am not the only one who stalks my garden so earnestly for little sprouts as well - I think my neighbor think I am crazy - I am out in my yard every other day scouting for blooms and for my bulbs to come up. :)

  2. I agree with SuzyQ...my first thought was it looks a little plump for a crocus...but it definitely is something exciting!

  3. Did you plant Tulips? That looks a lot like a Tulip sprout. How exciting to finally have something emerging from the soil.

  4. Thanks, everybody! Geez, does that mean my crocus didnt work? I thought those came first, then daffs and tulips.

  5. Yes, that's a tulip. It's possible a chipmunk or squirrel took off with your crocus last year. Or maybe they are just a little slow.

  6. My crocuses don't come out first because they aren't in a sunny spot. They do show up though. You still might have a chance.

  7. You're right about crocus usually coming first. My crocus are blooming, my daffs are about 3-4 inches and my tulips are just breaking ground. Regardless, that's a nice picture.
