Sausage was far and away my biggest yielder, with 78 fruit and 173 oz on average. It was almost devoid of juice, just seeds and solids, exactly what I want in a canning paste tomato. Besides that, the flavor was excellent, and it yielded early in my northern Minnesota garden. It's my new favorite paste tomato.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7864781849969727346.post-7444190518194496872008-11-24T09:07:00.000-08:002008-11-24T09:07:00.000-08:00I grew Green Sausage and though they are useless f...I grew Green Sausage and though they are useless for juice, they are fantastic for salsa.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7864781849969727346.post-70822601089038320282008-08-01T22:08:00.000-07:002008-08-01T22:08:00.000-07:00I've got a Sausage plant this year too...the guy a...I've got a Sausage plant this year too...the guy at the farmers' market was selling them and I couldn't help myself. My only tomato harvest so far has been 1 Early Boy ... it was pretty tasty although I did pull it too early so it was a tad under ripe. I have a "mortgage raiser" heirloom and it too has huge absolutely beautiful (but still absolutely green) tomatoes on it that I can't wait to eat!!!! yay tomatoes!J-Doghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13462751568458499217noreply@blogger.com
